Hi, my name is Byllee Kairy and I am the proud owner and Director of All About Ability, a local Northern California organization dedicated to helping young disabled adults. As a 20-year career veteran in the special education world, I am constantly surprised how few resources there are devoted to enabling these kids to transition from high school into becoming independent adults. In 2016, my wife Heather and I set out to do something about it. We designed a “new method-old school values” program that engages young adults in the process of recognizing their own identity, removes barriers to achieving freedom and independence, and sets realistic and achievable personal life goals.
